In the year 2050, Earth's nations have reached a point of stability and prosperity, and stagnation in some areas. Technology and environmental policies continue to develop, making resources and energy almost infinite. Simultaneously, fields of medicine and genetic engineering have reached a point that almost every man, woman, and child are born with no deficiencies with improved physical and mental health. Society, education, and infrastructure keep improving, making these nations' citizens very content and crime a rare occurrence. Space travel hadn't reached many new heights; however, several nations had planned to land the first man on Mars within the next 5 years.

During this time, there was peace between most nations of the world; however, many countries had formed together, making large super nations.

The first was the United States of North America, which consisted of 68 states that included the USA of the past, all ten provinces of Canada, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa-Rica, and Panama.

The second was The South American Union, including all South American countries and the rest of the island nations between North and South America. This nation shared similar prosperity with North America after cracking down on most of the continent's gang problems.

The third super nation was the European Republic that was made up of all European countries and the entire country of Russia. The quality of life in this nation is slightly higher than the rest of the other super nations.

Next would be The East Asia Conglomerate consisting of Japan, Korea, China, Mongolia, and Taiwan.

The last of the super nations was the Pacific Alliance consisting of Australia, South East Asia, and all the island countries between and near the two.

The rest of the Middle East countries to India maintain their independence as it had been in the past, with some countries being fairly prosperous and others still in turmoil. However, the struggle in these countries is nothing compared to the horror of countries affected by the one hour war.
